Trotter’s Traders is undertaking a £1 million investment programme as it gets set to open its new store in Scunthorpe, with support from NatWest.
The popular discount retailer already runs four stores across Lincolnshire, in which they stock more than 12,000 different products for customers. Products on offer include: food, hardware, tooling, toys, stationery, pet supplies, household goods and toiletries, gardening and seasonal items.
Trotter’s Traders was established in 2008 and currently employs 25 people. Up to 20 new jobs are to be created with the opening of the new Scunthorpe branch. The new store, which is located on Brigg Road, is due to open this winter. Trotter’s Traders also has stores in Grimsby, Louth, Skegness and Mablethorpe.
Dougie Wadham, Managing Director of Trotter’s Traders, said: “We are very excited to be opening our first store in Scunthorpe in the run up to Christmas. At Trotter’s Traders we are committed to providing customers with a range of products at reasonable prices, for any occasion.
“We are delighted with our new business relationship with NatWest. Our Relationship Director, David Rogers, understands how a business like ours operates and was able to provide us with a funding solution to meet our needs.”
David said: “Trotter’s Traders has experienced steady growth in recent years and the addition of the store in Scunthorpe is an asset to the local community as well as to the business. We look forward to continuing to work closely with Dougie and the management team in the future.”
